Dear Friends,
I rung in 2010 with several new projects on my personal roster. One of them is coming to fruition right now, so I’d like to share the preliminary results with you.
Beginning with the Creating Living Leadership series “Leadership Bytes“, I am podcasting some of the most successful leadership tips I’ve developed over the past two years. The first titles in the series:
- “How Can You Suceed If You Don’t Make Mistakes?“
- ”What Can You Do When Great Employees Find The Grass Is Greener On The Other Side?”
- “Is There A Crisis Going On Between Your Ears?”
My plan is to have no less than 15 leadership info-bytes online by June 2010 - and to begin augmenting my English-language podcasts with German-language editions by the beginning of March.
So: Click. Listen. Comment.
Because feedback is the food of the gods…

Dear Friends,
You do know that I have a second Creating Tomorrow blog, right? I use Creating Tomorrow: TLC as a place to post some articles from this blog, as well as workshop descriptions and other miscellaneous things.
In the past two weeks I have uploaded a few of my worksheets and flyers to that blog. These worksheets are based on ones I use in my actual coaching practice. They were designed to give you an idea of the areas in which coaching can facilitate change in your professional life, as well as support you in your own self-coaching process .
To date, the worksheets I’ve uploaded are:
Feel free to have a look, give the one or other a try, and get back to me with any feedback or comments you might have.

Dear Friends,
Here is a link to an interview I was asked to do by my Twitter-friend Craig Pelky-Landes for examiner.com. A testimony to making meaningful contact - 140 characters at a time!
“…Trina Roach of Creating Tomorrow: The Leadership Consultancy, is a coach and consultant based near Duesseldorf, Germany, with a fascinating life story and a strong and growing international practice in her discipline. I met Trina after making a snarky comment about business coaches on Twitter (another lesson in being careful what you say online.) In hindsight I’m glad I did, though, or I would not have gotten to know Trina. She responded in defense of coaching, and we began a lively 140-character-at-a-time correspondence.
Trina was a natural choice as I explore the role of coaching over a number of posts in this space. Following is an interview conducted with Trina while she was on a trip back in the States:…”

Dear Friends,
Like many of you, I am a member of several social media sites. And like most people, I ‘ve had to make a concerted effort to define for myself the significance of these media in both my private and professional lives in order to use them as efficiently as possible.
While I enjoy being re-connected to people I knew in high school and college, and like being up-to-date on what’s going on in my extended family, my main objective in using social media is further penetrating my professional brand presence. In my case, that also includes selective access to my more personal side. While some people prefer to keep these two aspects of their life neatly separated, I am well aware that as a coach and trainer only part of what I have to offer professionally can be summed up by focusing solely on objective factors such as experience or knowledge and information. A significant part of the value I add to any business relationship is deeply rooted in the interconnection between my qualifications and my personal qualities. The (potential) clients I want to work with want to be seen as 3-dimensional people, and prefer to work with someone who not only treats them as such, but is also unafraid to present themselves in the same way.
Here is a brief overview of some of the social media I use, and how important I think they are for me professionally:

Dear Friends,
Like so many of you, I spent the Holiday Season in a mix of visiting (and - in my case - talking long-distance) with loved ones, relaxing, reflecting on the past, and planning for my personal and professional future. For me this means:
- celebrating the progress I’ve made over the past months
- identifying areas where I need to improve my own performance
- making a decision to let go of things/attitudes/habits/people that have not enriched my life over the past 12 months
- consciously visualizing things/attitudes/habits/people/opportunities I plan to manifest in my life in the coming 12 months
- feeling grateful - for the positive things that have happened in the last 12 months, for everything I have learned from the painful/negative experiences of the past year, and for the strength, energy and motivation I am taking with me into 2009.

Dear Friends,
Aah! The hazy, lazy days of summer are upon us. Whether you are enjoying the warmer temperatures on the beach, at a sidewalk cafe, or simply be allowing yourself the luxury of a more leisurely pace in the office, give yourself a much-needed opportunity in the coming weeks to relax, re-energize and re-evaluate where you are in your business or career versus where you (soon) want to be!
Before I switched gears to enjoy my personal version of a ’summer schedule’ I completed my schedule for upcoming open workshops and teleseminars, which is now online.
You can access this schedule either here or here.

Dear Friends,
It’s almost Christmas, so I feel no shame in sharing this new technical “toy” I’ve discovered.
In 2008 anyone interested in having a look at my upcoming (complimentary) teleseminars and open workshops can simply have a look at the CT_Calendar listed under the “Pages” along the sidebar at the right.
You’ll find a copy of this widget there. It allows you to access the descriptions of all of my upcoming events in a click, as well as register for any event relevant for you.

Dear Friends,
I had the honor of being one of a group of select women invited to attend a forum on women in leadership that was held on 20th September in Bochum. This initiative was sponsored by the European Foundation for Regional Development, as well as the Ministry for Generations, Family, Women and Integration in the German state of Northrhine-Westphalia. The day’s objective was to pick the brains of women in leadership positions in order to develop feasible strategies to increase the overall number of women in leadership positions throughout this state.
