    Overcoming Procrastination

    February 29th, 2008 by admin

    Dear Friends,

I have to ‘out’ myself here.

“My name is Trina, and I am a procrastinator”.

When the ‘do it now’ memo was sent out by time management experts all over the world, someone obviously forgot to add me to the distribution list.

    Authentic Entrepreneurial Spirit

    February 28th, 2008 by admin
    Awaken Women

    Dear Friends,

I am really excited about being a part of the 2nd International Conference for Women and Women Entrepreneurs, scheduled for 6 -8 June 2008 near Zurich, Switzerland. This inspiring conference is being organized by Awaken Women International, which is the brainchild and passion of coach and psychotherapist Kunbi Korostensky.

Being part of this conference is providing me with the opportunity to talk and work with women on a topic that is pivotal in my own professional journey. My subject:

“Keys to True Entrepreneurship: Honoring Personal Authenticity”

“Free to be You and Me”?

    February 20th, 2008 by admin
    Barack, Michelle, Oprah

    Dear Friends,

I know that for many Europeans the American style of campaigning is a horse of a decidedly different color. Personalized and media-conveniently dramatic, it’s a long way from what Europeans are used to in their own countries from their own political parties and candidates.

Far from wanting to espouse a personal political opinion, I want to share with you my thoughts of voter loyalties in connection with this election.

Shark, Dolphin, Salmon or Whale: What Style of Leadership is Right for the White House?

    February 11th, 2008 by admin
    B. Obama & H. Clinton

    Dear Friends,

No matter how the coming election in the USA ends, we will have all seen history in the making. For the first time in American history, we have both a women and a person of color campaigning for the office of President of the United States. And for the first time, too, both politicians are arguably feasible candidates for the job.

    Myth # 3: I should read - or memorize! - my presentation

    February 9th, 2008 by admin
    reading presentation

    Dear Friends,

When it comes to presenting, there are invaluable techniques that enable you to reach your audience better by addressing their needs and answering their questions on as many levels as possible.

Reading your presentation - or (gasp!) memorizing it - isn’t one of those things.

Some Thoughts on Leadership and Service

    February 6th, 2008 by admin
     leadership

    Dear Friends,

I would like to share with you a quote from a newsletter sent out by Martin Haase, a fellow XING network compatriot and consultant. Martin and I have touched bases on the topic of leadership in teleseminars I’ve lead on the subject. We had a constructive meeting of minds, and are certainly on the same page where this topic is concerned.

11 Tips for Getting (More) Things Done

    February 1st, 2008 by admin
    pda and planner

    Dear Friends,

Two of my favorite blogs - Brazen Careerist and Web Worker Daily - have unintentionally collaborated to pass on this helpful and informative list of ways to use your time more effectively at work. The version from Brazen Careerist is more focused on people working in a traditional office setting, while Web Worker Daily adds the necessary spin for freelancers, consultants, etc.,  working from their home offices, along with a critical comment to each point.
