Dear Friend,
Fellow coach Myriam Callegarin recently published a list of things to take time to do when you are contemplating making the leap from the corporate world to self-employment. Because most of the individuals I coach are (future) entrepreneurs - and being an entrepreneur myself - I saw many of my own coaching questions (and personal thoughts) reflected in her list.
If you are currently on the road to self-employment (or about to start off on that journey), I strongly advise you to have a good look at this list (below the cut), and in a quiet moment spend time thinking about your own unique and personal response to each item.

Dear Friends,
The book “The Knowing-Doing Gap: How Smart Companies Turn Knowledge Into Action” by Jeffrey Pfeffer and Robert I. Sutton highlights the discrepancy between ideals and actions in the corporate world, and gives insight into ways to close the gap between the two. Because companies are a sum of the people working in them, I believe the premises detailed in this book can also be adapted to apply to the people themselves.
Companies like yours and mine. People like you and me.

Dear Friends,
Nelson Mandela is arguably one of the most inspirational world leaders of both the 20th and 21st centuries. An ardent fighter for his country’s freedom from the self-imposed shackles of apartheid, Mandela endured 27 years of imprisonment in South Africa’s notorious prison on Robben Island , and stepped back out into the world to both preach and practice forgiveness, responsibility and progress.
